Membrana Launches New Japanese Web Site Portal For Liqui-Cel® Membrane Contactors

March 3, 2009

Membrana, a leading membrane and device manufacturer, is pleased to announce that it has expanded the Liqui-Cel® Business unit's website by launching a fully-functional Japanese portal site at http://www.liqui-cel.jp.

The new website is written and organized for Japanese speakers so that they can obtain all product information in their native language. The site incorporates new navigation that organizes information by primary applications and industries where Liqui-Cel® Membrane Contactors are used. The new website makes it easier for users to identify and select information based on their specific needs. Each landing page contains background information as well as quick links to technical content including data sheets, technical briefs and technical papers specific to the various industries and applications where degassing contactors are currently used.

The updated website provides all of the technical and educational materials that our Japanese customers need for understanding and using Liqui-Cel® Membrane Contactors in their particular application or industry.

MicroModule®, MiniModule®, SuperPhobic®, and Liqui-Cel® Membrane Contactors are used around the world for adding or removing Oxygen (O2), Carbon Dioxide (CO2) and Nitrogen (N2) to or from different liquids in digital printing, analytical/biotechnology, semiconductor, power, pharmaceutical, photographic, food and beverage, and many other industries. For example, O2 negatively impacts many processes; it is corrosive and can oxidize materials. In the power and industrial areas, piping and equipment are susceptible to corrosion. Specifically to the semiconductor and ink market, high levels of O2 can cause lower yields and slower process speeds.

Liqui-Cel® Contactors are also used to add gasses to liquids to enhance megasonic cleaning. The beverage industry looks to membrane contactors for carbonation, nitrogenation and O2 removal. These reflect only a few examples of the variety of applications where the Liqui-Cel® and SuperPhobic® Membrane Contactors are used. New applications are constantly being developed.

Membrana's Industrial Membrane Group also manufactures a variety of membranes used for filtration in various industries and applications.
