Eliminate Turbidity, Improve Quality In Spirits Production
Turbidity measurement during spirit production
Turbidity greatly depends on temperature. At low temperatures, fatty acids and their esters contained in spirits partially precipitate forming a haze as they are less soluble at lower temperatures. This unwanted occurrence is called "Chill Haze" and shall be avoided as consumers prefer a clear chilled drink.
And this is where HazeQC ME comes in.
HazeQC ME is a measuring module for determining the turbidity of beverages. HazeQC ME employs the well-proven ratio method to calculate the turbidity value from the raw measuring signals at three angles: 0° transmission, 25° and 90° scattered light, and therefore complies with many common standards regarding turbidity in beverages.
