Roll Handling Equipment With Actuated Core Gripper

The new and bespoke actuated core gripper attachment has been designed to lift a roll of foil or film in the vertical position, rotate to the horizontal position, followed by rotation via the rotating tray attachment. This lifting attachment, constructed from stainless steel, uses an actuator to grip the core of the roll; and is suitable for clean room environments such as those found in the food, beverages and pharmaceutical industries.

(PRWEB) - The new and bespoke actuated core gripper attachment has been designed to allow the operator to lift a roll of foil or film in the vertical position, rotate to the horizontal position, followed by rotation via the rotating tray attachment.

The attachment is designed with a frame or box section for structural stability. The lifting attachment, constructed from stainless steel, uses an actuator to grip the core of the roll. The stainless steel construction makes this lifting solution ideal for the food, beverages and pharmaceutical industries.

The actuator and gripping arm can be moved independently away from the roll whole in the horizontal position on the rotating tray attachment.

This flexibility allows the operator to move the tray attachment into the necessary position. The roll can then be unloaded onto a mandrel or machinery, for example.

The actuator is controlled using a remote control pendant, as is the lifting and lowering mechanism of the lifter.

This unit has a powered drive lifter, which uses a toggle switch to drive the lifter. A manual push version of this lifting unit is also available with the actuated core gripper.
