The Model 12M twelve-station machine operates at speeds up to 1800 cans per minute and is the first can seamer in the packaging industry to employ PC-based control software. This open architecture control eliminates a compatibility issue with controllers and the need for multi-brand controllers for customers around the world. A PC-based control system is easy to understand, easy to program and easy to use. In addition, hardware and software costs are reduced.

The seamer has a quickset mechanical adjustment to enhance production for processors running both aluminum and steel body components. The quickset seaming cam adjustment allows a quick and easy change within the tolerance of the specified seam thickness.

A unique oil flow system has been developed that significantly reduces the amount of heat in the seaming turret. By oil cooling the machine, the service life of the oil is extended and the lubrication of mechanical machine parts is enhanced.

Another important feature of the machine is the addition of variable flow under-cover-gassing control, which optimizes the amount of gas being used. The variable flow gassing system is computer controlled to automatically adjust the amount of CO2 gas flow. With a push of a button, the processor can regulate the proper gas flow to a preset value for different products and specific machine speed.
