Arrowhead Spears Busse, SJI
These recent acquisitions are the second step Arrowhead Acquisition Partners has taken toward building an organization of independent companies that can work together to provide integrated systems for packaging lines at beverage, food processing, pharmaceutical and other consumer goods manufacturing plants.
Arrowhead Acquisition Partners acquired privately held Busse Inc. from Pinnacle Automation, a leading material handling company based in St. Louis. Busse, headquartered in Randolph, WI, offers a complete line of low-, medium- and high-speed equipment for high- or low-level palletizing and depalletizing of empty metal, glass, composite and PET containers.
SJI, based in Alexandria, VA, manufactures equipment for container filling lines at beverage and food processing plants, including water and air rinsers; warmers and spray coolers; case, pallet and slipsheet washers; twist rinsers; and accumulation conveyors.
Arrowhead Conveyor, the first company to be acquired by Arrowhead Acquisition Partners, manufactures a full line of standard and customized material handling equipment for diverse manufacturing operations. Its product lines include tabletop conveyors for transporting and accumulating containers, pallet conveyors, spray coolers and warmers, rinsers and case conveyors, with controls and installation capabilities.
Arrowhead Acquisition Partners is comprised of four independent investors who form the owner-management team, in concert with Seneca Capital Partners LLC, a New York-based investment firm specializing in management-led acquisitions. The owner-management team consists of Thomas Young, CEO; Nick Osterholt, Jr., VP, sales and marketing; Bernie Tipton, VP, technology; and Dawn Gorsuch, VP, human resources.
