Canadian Cool Clear Water Makes its First Acquisition

William R. McKay, P.Eng., the newly appointed chairman and CEO of Canadian Cool Clear Water has reported to shareholders that the company has made its first acquisition. The acquisition of Nanton Water & Soda Ltd. is scheduled to close January 31.

"Nanton Water," which has been popular in Western Canada for the past 20 years, was awarded the prestigious Gold Medallion for the "World's Finest Sparkling Spring Water" at the 1986 World Expo. With its unique blue bottle, Nanton Water competes directly with Perrier and is sold through Safeway, Coop Stores, the Earl's Restaurant Chain, and Canadian Pacific Hotels, including the Rocky Mountain resorts of Banff Springs, Chateau Lake Louise, Kananaskis Lodge and Chateau Whistler.

Nanton Water & Soda Ltd. also has an exclusive contract with Canadian Pacific Railways to supply spring water in 175ml cups. This somewhat unique packaging concept is currently being exploited within the cruise ship and airline industry. The company will be purchased for a combination of cash, shares and the assumption of debt.

Nanton's president, Brad Wallace, noted that with the parent company's scope and capabilities, Nanton sales are expected to grow "dramatically" across North America.

Canadian Cool Clear Water Inc. was created for the purpose of exploiting and developing the enormous growth opportunity presented in the bottled water industry in North America. The company's mission is to build a strong revenue platform through the strategy of acquiring, consolidating and operating established bottled water companies located in strategic markets, so as to gain the benefits of synergy and market development on the company's bottom line.
