Clearly Canadian Rolls Out New 'Battery' Energy Drink in U.S.

Clearly Canadian Beverage Corp. today announced the national rollout of "Battery" energy drink, which is now available in key regions throughout the United States. One of the best-selling energy drinks in Scandinavia, Battery can now be found at convenience and grocery stores in Washington, Oregon, California, Oklahoma, Montana, Texas, Missouri, New Jersey and Georgia.

Imported from Finland, Clearly Canadian's new Battery is a tangy, energy-enhancement beverage in a 12-oz. can with a black and gold design.

The tangy, thirst-quenching energy-enhancement beverage is available in a 12-oz (355 ml) can featuring a distinctive black and gold battery-like design. The drink's ingredients include caffeine, maltodextrin and guarana — a berry grown in the Amazon. Battery is marketed as a refreshing drink that can assist in revitalizing and fueling the body.

The product has been developed by Oy Sinebrychoff Ab of Finland. Under a test-market agreement with Oy Sinebrychoff Ab, Clearly Canadian's U.S. subsidiary holds the rights to market and distribute Battery in the United States and Canada.

"We are optimistic that Battery will have the same success in North America as it does in Scandinavia, where it's one of the best-selling energy drinks. The national launch of Battery has garnered strong support from our distributors with its unique, value-added package. Battery represents Clearly Canadian's entry into the growing nutrient-enhanced segment of the alternative beverage industry," said Douglas Mason, president and CEO of Clearly Canadian Beverage Corp.
