DACOR Adds WineStewards And Beverage Center To Line Of Refrigeration Products That Enable The Cool Life

New Appliances Will Do More Than Ever Before for Discerning Consumers Who Want Superior Performance and Elegant Design

Diamond Bar, CA - DACOR, market leader in luxury kitchen appliance design, manufacturing and distribution, introduced a new dual-zone Epicure WineSteward, a new single-zone Epicure WineSteward, and an enhanced Epicure Beverage Center. Together with the company's recently launched Epicure Built-in, Side-by-Side Refrigerators in 42" or 48" models, the new products represent a full array of refrigeration solutions for consumers who are taking kitchen design to new levels.

"As we add to our compelling offerings in the refrigeration category, we are proud to present appliances that continue our legacy of innovation with sophisticated technology and aesthetic appeal," said Elaine Chaney, Senior Vice President of Marketing and Sales at DACOR. "But also, we are excited to make available products that we know directly meet the needs of DACOR's discerning customers. Each one has been specifically designed to complement their full lives."

Room for Two
DACOR's new Epicure WineStewards have been designed to meet the requirements of wine connoisseurs, for whom collecting is a labor of love. In order for wines to exhibit their true flavors, experts recommend stable storage environments, and the new WineStewards enable the precise temperature control that is required to achieve perfection.

The dual-zone WineSteward allows for two separate temperature zones to be set and maintained in the unit, ranging from 41 to 68 F. That enables storage of red and white wine or Champagne in a single WineSteward unit, which is ideal for the collector whose tastes are varied. With four pullout wine racks, the dual-zone WineSteward has the capacity to hold 44 bottles (750 mL).

The single-zone WineSteward allows sets and maintains its contents at one temperature that ranges from 37 to 65 F. Its five pullout racks hold nine bottles each, for a capacity of 56 bottles (750 mL).

Both dual- and single-zone units feature an electronic control panel with a digital display that allows for monitoring of the temperature without opening the door, thereby better maintaining a stable environment inside the units. The UV-protected glass door also shields from ultraviolet rays that can penetrate even dark bottles and prematurely age a bottle of wine. In addition, both units operate with less vibration than competitors' models, which decreases the chance of sediment disturbance, a known cause of premature aging in wine.

Designers will discover myriad uses for WineStewards as they develop new ideas for their clients. Both units are 24" and are available with doors that open to the left or to the right. Each features a child-lock function for safety.

The units can be used in wine cellars, or in other parts of the home intended for relaxing - such as studies - and entertaining, such as screening rooms. WineStewards feature the Epicure collection handle in four trim color options, and interior racks made of fine acacia wood, which is known for its properties of beauty, durability and odor resistance.

Wherever WineStewards are installed, they enable wine to be age to maturity and without distraction. Wine connoisseurs who place a priority on controlled conditions for true wine aging and storage will find their perfect appliance in either DACOR WineSteward, both of which feature a labeling system to classify the collection.

More Than Just Beverages
In kitchens and entertainment spaces throughout the home, there is more to be stored than just wine. The Epicure Beverage Center from DACOR answers that need.

The Beverage Center features new cooling capabilities that catapult the unit, which previously was only a beverage chiller, into the refrigeration category. The enhancements allow the unit to be used for milk and fresh food storage in addition to beverages. And when milk and foods are stored together, a carbon air filtration system removes unwanted odors, keeping contents pure - so that milk, for example, doesn't smell or taste like other items, and vice versa.

Inside the 24" Beverage Center are two pull-out wine racks and two pull-out glass shelves. The unit can hold 88 cans (12 oz) and 29 wine bottles (750 mL) or 160 cans (12 oz) at a temperature range of 37 to 65 F.

Like the WineStewards, the temperature of the Beverage Center can be monitored with doors closed. It is constructed with acacia wood, and features the Epicure handle and trim options.

Full Array of Refrigeration Solutions
Prior to launching the new WineStewards and Beverage Center, DACOR recently made a bold entry into the large refrigerator category with the introduction of its Epicure Built-In, Side-By-Side Refrigerators in 48" and 42" models. The new refrigerators, which made their debut at the Kitchen and Bath Industry Show (K/BIS), maintain separate temperature zones to ensure freshness of different types of food. Their launch signified DACOR's entrance into the large refrigerator sector and rounded out the company's product offering to make available, for the first time, a full line of kitchen appliances from DACOR.

"Our customers live full lives and it is only fitting that we accommodate their full lifestyles with a full line of kitchen appliances," Chaney said. "Today's announcement of new WineStewards and a new Beverage Center complement our entire refrigeration line and - from large cornerstone pieces to small storage solutions - truly allow our customers to live the cool life with DACOR appliances."
