FMC Sells Crosby Valve to Tyco International

FMC Corporation has completed the sale of Crosby Valve to Tyco International Ltd.

FMC said that Crosby is a solid operation, but not strategic to the company's long-term growth plans. Tyco, however, has a significant presence in the industrial valve market and can better position Crosby for the future. Crosby Valve is headquartered in Wrentham, MA and manufactures and sells pressure relief valves and accessories used in energy and power generation markets.

FMC Corporation is one of the world's leading producers of chemicals and machinery for industry and agriculture. FMC employs approximately 17,000 people at more than 100 manufacturing facilities and mines in some 25 countries. The company divides its businesses into the Performance Chemicals, Industrial Chemicals and Machinery and Equipment segments.
