Folexco Signs Botanical Agreement with East Earth Herb

Folexco (Montgomeryville, PA), a manufacturer and supplier of botanical extracts for the food, beverage, confectionery and flavor industries, has signed an agreement with East Earth Herb where by Folexco will acquire a controlling percentage of the company's stock. Eugene, OR-based East Earth Herb, manufactures botanical extracts for the dietary supplement and pharmaceutical industries.

"This acquisition will make the new Folexco/EEH Co. the largest botanical manufacturer in North America, with domestic facilities on the East and West Coast," said David Nelson, president and CEO of Folexco.

Formed in 1988, Folexco produces extracts such as cocoa, coffee, echinacea, ginseng, goldenseal and kola that are supplied to the flavor, food and beverage industries. The company is the only ISO 9002 certified manufacturer of botanical extracts in North America.

East Earth Herb specializes in both single and multi-herb extracts to the nutritional industry. The company processes over 400 individual formulas in liquid and powered extract forms.
