Hamer Line Blind Valves
Hamer Line Blind Valves afford shut-off integrity in pipelines where line blinding is a frequent requirement and safety is a primary concern. Their tough, simple designs provide long service life with minimal maintenance requirements. Featuring one-person operation, the valves provide cost-effective performance when compared to alternative blinding methods including blanking flanges and removable spools, standard valves, double block and bleed arrangements, and skillet lates. The spectacle plate system allows the valves to provide a positive, visual indication of the valve's open or closed status. The valves are suited for positive shut-off and offer absolute assurance of no downstream leakage even in harsh industrial applications including:
- Chemical processing
- Pulp and paper
- Cement manufacturing
- Food and beverage
- Mining slurries
- Marine applications aboard ships and tankers
- Terminals and storage
Hamer Line Blind Valves come in the following configurations:
- 3-,5-,7- and 9-bolt models, with port sizes from ½-24 in.-dia.
- Air cylinder or handwheel-operated
- Self-cleaning, sliding gate
- Sliding gate models 2-12 in.-dia.
- Visible wedge models sizes 2-16 in.-dia.
- Bolted and fluid saver hub
- Line-spread models available in sizes 1½-8 in.-dia.
- Gasket materials are available for most fluids and for temperatures up to 8000°F
