Javo Beverage Company Enters European Market With Dispensed Coffees And Teas
San Diego, CA - Javo Beverage Company, Inc., provider of coffee- and tea-based beverages to the foodservice industry, and Drie Mollen Holding of Amsterdam announced recently a multi-year marketing agreement in which Javo will supply coffee and tea products to Drie Mollen for distribution throughout Europe.
As one of Europe's largest roasters, Drie Mollen is a leading supplier of branded and private label coffee to European retailers and foodservice companies. The company has operations in France, Germany, the Netherlands, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland and the United Kingdom. Javo will supply product from its roasting and extraction facility in Vista, California.
"Establishing a strong foot print in Europe is important because, relative to the United States, the market for dispensed coffees is so much larger," said Cody C. Ashwell, chairman and CEO of Javo Beverage Company. "Drie Mollen is an ideal partner, bringing massive distribution strength, market expertise and key customer relationships," Ashwell added.
The Marketing Agreement comprises Javo's foodservice products, including coffee concentrates and iced coffee beverages in dispensable bag-in-box packaging. Javo will handle manufacturing and Drie Mollen will assume the lead in marketing and selling the coffee products.
"Over half of the world market for dispensed hot coffee, more than $500 million US dollars annually, is in Europe," said Drie Mollen chief executive officer Kees Krikke. "We see enormous opportunity for Javo's high quality dispensed hot and iced coffee products in our markets. We look forward to working with Javo to build a substantial business within our established customer base," added Krikke.
