Lease trucks handle big loads in small spaces

The company's routes require trucks to handle heavy loads and maneuver in tight spaces. Robert Koudsey, Naturo's distribution manager, notes, "Many of our routes take us to very tight deliveries, especially in the older areas of downtown Montreal."
Naturo had been operating a fleet of older delivery vehicles. Koudsey said, "Our mix of older trucks had difficulty in those tight delivery locations, and our smaller trucks could only handle ninety 15-liter bottles."
The bottled water distributor turned to PacLease (PACCAR Leasing Corp.) for help. The leasing company is able to provide a range of trucks to meet specific beverage shipment needs. (see related article)
"It was very important for PacLease to spec a highly maneuverable vehicle able to deliver more product on any given route," Koudsey commented. For Naturo, the optimum choices were tandem-axle Peterbilt Model 330s and Kenworth T300s. And both truck types are supported by PacLease preventive maintenance programs.
"It's the perfect combination for us," said Koudsey, noting that the PACCAR trucks can carry up to four hundred 15-liter bottles, while easily handling the tightest delivery location. "With PacLease, we are operating premium, driver-pleasing equipment at a very competitive lease rate."
