Novelty overcap full of surprises

Guarana Antarctica, a Brazil-based market leader in soft drinks, has tapped into the kid market with a novelty overcap system from Cap Designs Inc. (Woodland Hills, CA). The polypropylene system is a separatable two-piece mechanism with a hole in the middle, allowing easy placement over bottle necks. Miniature toys and treats can be placed within the overcap, which is then shrinkwrapped to the bottle for secure placement.

In a special licensing agreement, Guarana Antarctica is placing miniature plastic Pokemon characters within the overcap. Kids crave to open these up and discover what characters are inside the cap.

Estimated cost per overcap is 11 cents. Cap Designs can work with users to develop customized overcaps and application equipment.
