NuVim Eliminates All High Fructose Corn Syrup From Their Products
The Reformulated Product Improves Both Taste and Health
Paramus, NJ - NuVim, Inc. announced a new NuVim product that eliminates High Fructose Corn Syrup from NuVim refrigerated products. The new formula was developed after months of studies and tests in conjunction with MasterTaste of Teterboro, NJ, and William Franke, PhD, Associate Director of the Center for Advanced Food Technology at Rutgers University and a NuVim Board member. The exceptional taste of the new product scored much higher than the current version and has only 45 calories per serving and less carbohydrates. It achieves these goals and eliminates high fructose corn syrup, which has been linked to significant weight gain. The new product is expected to hit the shelves in 2 to 3 months.
According to a March 16, 2005 NIH News Release, "over the next few decades, life expectancy for the average American could decline by as much as 5 years unless aggressive efforts are made to slow the rising rates of obesity."
NuVim believes that High Fructose Corn Syrup has been identified as a contributing factor to the coming obesity epidemic, and NuVim wants to be a leader to help keep America healthy. "If every food and beverage product takes an even minor step toward reducing calories, cholesterol, fat, and sodium we can make a difference. As important as is eliminating the harmful ingredients, the food and beverage industry needs to add real nutritional value to the products we put on the shelves. Doing both will improve the health of the average American," said NuVim President Rick Kundrat. "It's never too late to start changing your eating and drinking habits. There are products in the supermarket that are good and bad for you, especially in the beverage category. So many drinks are simply flavored colored sugar water. NuVim is about continuous improvement. We always feel we can do more. Now we have."
