N/AP11 Single Beam Absorbance Probe is designed for loss monitoring in the dairy industry. The probe is used in conjunction with the company's Model 612 Single Beam Photometer and the Model 653 Absorbance Monitor to provide continuous detection of product in waste streams. The method of measurement is light absorbance; the probe contains a stable light source and sensitive photo detector. Product or solids contamination of the waste stream absorbs the emitted light, causing a lower light measurement by the detector. The connected electronics converts this to a standard 4 – 20mA output signal for connection to a data recorder or supervisory control system.
The probe is manufactured from Stainless steel and Teflon and can be caustic washed and sterilized in place. It is fitted to process lines on a low profile sanitary flange. Interconnecting cable to the connected transmitter can be provided up to 300ft in length.
