Small-Character Continuous Ink Jet

The LINX 6800 small-character continuous ink jet system features a new user interface that offers an icon-based operating system and simplifies setup of printing applications. A new printhead design with optimized geometry and integral temperature sensors enable precise printing and excellent reliability across an ambient temperature range. Printhead options include the MIDI, which prints up to four lines of print, and the ULTIMA, which handles high-speed two-line applications.

The system also includes new printer control software that incorporates new message formats (rasters), which deliver optimal print speed, print quality and number of lines of print. The LINX 6800 supports a wide range of character heights and message formats (up to 34 drops high) including text, bar codes and graphics. The system's newly designed stainless steel printer enclosure is rated IP65 for reliable operation in dusty and washdown environments. The portable printer can be easily integrated with other systems such as PCs, production control systems and other equipment on the production line.
