The Permatran-W Model 523 water vapor permeability test system is designed for the high-speed testing of coated paper, paperboard products and polymer film used in the packaging of a variety of products from food and beverages to pharmaceuticals and software. Suitable for production quality assurance in manufacturing settings, it conforms with ASTM E-398 and Tappi T-523 testing methods. The system includes a pass/fail mode designed to provide real-time indication of water vapor barrier quality.
