Watson-Marlow Bredel Announces Bag-In-Box Pump For Beverage Processing Applications

Watson-Marlow Bredel, the worlds leading manufacturer of peristaltic pumps, announces its 313D Pumphead for beverage dispensing equipment that uses bag-in-box technology. This pump is ideal for beverage dispensing applications requiring frequent tube changes, and flow rates from 0.25 to 3000 ml/min. The 313D is an inherent metering pump with repeatability up to 99.5%. The fluid being pumped is contained completely in the FDA approved tubing, so cleaning the pump is as simple as replacing a tube. It has been designed so that tube replacement is intuitive and fool-proof for employees to perform. The pumphead opens wide, and then clamps and stretches the tube as it closes, putting the tube in optimum position every time. There is no extensive training, tools, or adjustments required.

The pump features a sleek, modern design, and can be ordered in a custom color to match the style of an OEM's equipment. Typical options included an open indicator switch, fixed or variable tube clamps, and private labeling. These sanitary pumps have no valves or seals, and can run dry without damage. Extension heads are available to stack up to six pumpheads on a single drive. The 313D can be purchased as a pumphead only, or with gear motors. Drives are available in AC, DC, Stepper Motors, and Brushless DC configurations.

The 313D can be customized to work with any pump grade tubing. Watson-Marlow manufactures tubing in two USP Class VI materials: PumpSil, pump grade platinum cured silicone, or long-life BiopreneTPE Tubing. These tube materials are available in 12 standard sizes, to match any flow range, pressure or suction requirements.
